From the Sebastopol Police Facebook page
Tuesday, Sept. 5, was a momentous day for Sebastopol Police Department, as a new sergeant, officer, and dispatcher were sworn in together.
Sgt. Dack Thompson has been with Sebastopol PD for about a year and a half, after 18 years serving the public as an officer with the San Francisco Police Department. In his relatively brief time at SPD, Sgt. Thompson is already well-known and well-regarded in Sebastopol, both by community members and his partners at SPD. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the role of sergeant and will no doubt serve the community well in his new role.
Officer Ahmad Siar comes to SPD after serving as an officer with the College of Marin Police Department. He is excited to serve his new community here in Sebastopol and is looking foward to new opportunities working for a municipal police department can bring.
Dispatcher Lori Comini, a long time Sonoma County resident, comes to SPD from the world of customer service, in which she no doubt learned skills that will lead to her success as a dispatcher with SPD.
We want to welcome Officer Siar and Dispatcher Comini to the SPD family. We also want to wish Sergeant Thompson the best of luck in his new role with the department.
