Correction: Everyone will have access to the wine and beer garden at the July 3rd fireworks
Enjoy this new feature of the July 3rd fireworks event to be held this year on Morris Street
Every now and then, we just blow it. In this case, when it came to accurately describing the wine and beer garden at the upcoming Kiwanis’ July 3rd fireworks event, we blew it twice. First we suggested that it was only open to premium ticket holders (wrong); then we said anyone could buy “drink tickets” (wrong again).
The reality is wine and beer will be available for direct purchase by anyone 21 and over.
Here’s the scoop from Kiwanis member Robin Latham, who will be at the event dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
The Sebastopol Kiwanis Club is excited about the new Beer & Wine Garden and small stage that will be on the Youth Annex lawn (where the labyrinth was). We are grateful to so many beer and wine donors and are looking forward to serving the thirsty grown-ups, who will all be able to drink something delicious to quench their thirst while they support local youth. Everyone will have access. You can even bring your own cups (no glass). A reminder to bring your water bottles as we are trying to be a greener event. Thanks, and see you there!
Please Kiwanis, make sure this is a ZERO WASTE event! When I hear "beer and wine," I picture those clear plastic cups. This and other plastics are the main reason we boycott these types of fundraisers and organizations. Please help1 If not now, when? Thanks--
