Downed trees, power outages and school closures

Sebastopol and west county dig out in aftermath of monster rain and wind storm

Well, that was a wild night!

Much of Sebastopol north of Bodega Avenue and rural areas west of Sebastopol are still without power this morning, following last night’s torrential rain and wind storm.

Many of Sebastopol’s schools are closed today. These include:

• Analy High School / Laguna High School

• Brookhaven Middle School

• Parkside School

• CASTLE pre-school

• Twin Hills (Apple Blossom School, Orchard View School, and Twin Hills Charter Middle School only)

Other west county school closures include:

• Forestville

• Monte Rio

• Harmony

The Sebastopol Area Senior Center will be closed today as well.

These schools are open

Schools in the Gravenstein District are open, as are Sunridge School and Sebastopol Charter School. Oak Grove in Graton and Willowside are also open.
