Another amazing Halloween in Sebastopol. There was the usual fun mob of people on Florence Street, an impressive haunted house, and the new Kiwanis event—trick or treating in Ives Park—was a wild success. Here are a few pics from the evening.
From Florence Avenue
Good vibes, candy, music and more on Florence Ave. last night. All these photos were taken by Jim Cheney!
From Ives Park
Wow, a new Sebastopol festival was born last night! The event, put on the Kiwanis Club, drew what seemed like a thousand people over the course of the evening. People of all ages came in costume to trick or treat from tents decorated by local organizations and individuals, who gave out candy from 4 pm to 8 pm. The Sebastopol Times was there, and we had a blast.
Haunted House on Washington Avenue
“The House on Unpleasant Hill” drew hundreds, if not thousands, of excited youngsters who could be heard exclaiming “this isn’t scary” at the beginning of the house only to laugh about how cool the whole experience was thereafter. James Freeman designed it for the third year, and there were more than a handful of uniquely orchestrated rooms in all. It was hard to get good photos in the darkness, but here’s a spooky one. -EW
