That was reassuring. Good to have a grounded, reasonable, principled representative who isn’t afraid to say what she really thinks. And thanks for letting Lynda give longer, more complex answers to questions she could have handled in two or three sentences instead of three or four paragraphs.

Great and informative interview, Laura and Lynda!

Good interview. I would take exception with Lynda's characterization of Musk's arm wave (I think it was an "arm jerk" reaction by a man who is not very socially adept) but good questions that elicited comprehensive answers.

Nice profile. A good person. You avoided(?) views on some of the issues facing Sebastopol: Traffic, homeless, financial crisis, fire consolidation. I think she lives just outside the city so these issues are her personal issues as well. It seems like she is making things happen in the unincorporated cities around us but doesn't seem to be too visible around the issues we are facing.

The issues identified above are too big for Sebastopol to solve, traffic is primarily on county/state roads and comes to and from West County. Homeless is like a tube of toothpaste, the county squeezes and we get more homeless. County increases services and we get fewer homeless. We are absorbing the cost of dealing with the issues with Elderberry Commons which the county owns, and the financial crisis is in part due to the lost visitors to the Sebastopol Inn and their downtown spending and the TOT tax.

Getting the sales tax revenue we voted on is in doubt as a county wide initiative also passed and put us over the sales tax limit. She has offered to help until the State passes judgment in a few months, what will happen after that?

Reassurance from her that the fire consolidation will be good for Sebastopol and not cost the taxpayers here a lot more money would help calm the fears that will likely come up next month when consolidation is reviewed at the city council meeting.

Maybe there can be a part 2?
