Today being May 1, I'd like to give a shout out to Recology Sonoma-Marin. I'm happy and proud that we here in Forestville have our trash hauled by an employee-owned company.

Thank you for the coverage of the SCRR meeting. I can say one cause for the small turn-out at the meeting is that notwithstanding the supposed "outreach", we had no idea that this meeting was scheduled. Rod McAulay

I listed it in "What's happening this week" on Monday, but there was a lot of competition that night--including a big event at the Grange.

We live in a cohousing community of 14 households. They wanted to put us in the business category and charge us 5 times what we’ve been paying. A couple of our members worked with them and got them to drop the business designation. That’s good but we will only get 4 recycle bins and 4 compost bins for 14 households. How is that going to help reduce waste if green options are not available?

We should talk. I'll give you a call.

I’m out of town right now.

Back Friday afternoon.

Thanks, Marty. Who should I talk to at Two-Acre-Wood about this? Like, who was negotiating with SCRR?

Does anyone know where SCRR will be composting the green waste they collect in City of Sebastopol? I've read that Recology trucks the green waste collected in Forestville all the way to Napa county.
