Sebastopol, Tuesday, Jan. 4
As the rain continued to pour, traffic snarled along Petaluma Avenue near the Post Office Annex, where cars drove through the flooded street near the entrance of the Joe Rodota Trail.
The City of Sebastopol also posted on Facebook that Morris Street was closed between Highway 12 and the Community Center, though there doesn’t seem to be any flooding on that street yet and cars were still driving on it at around 3 pm.
The Sebastopol Police Facebook advised, “If you have to drive, slow down. If you don’t absolutely need to drive, stay home.”

What it looked like Wednesday morning…
The Russian River peaked at 36.32 feet at 8 am, pushing the laguna into a portion of Morris Street. Tomodachi Park, off Highway 12, was fully flooded.
Frei Rd has bad blooding in several spots too.
The river is at flood stage this morning. Will the Barlow shopping district or Community center flood? Does anyone know how they predict that? I hope it stays dry.
