Sebastopol Library closed temporarily over possible environmental issue
The building will remain closed while experts determine the extent of the problem
The Sebastopol Times received this notice from Sebastopol Library Branch Manager, Deb Hoadley:
Out of an abundance of caution, the Sebastopol Regional Library is temporarily closed beginning Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 4 p.m., while Sonoma County Library and City of Sebastopol staff assess a potential environmental concern within the facility.
The library will remain closed until the assessment is complete and any necessary repairs can be made. The health and safety of our patrons and staff remain our top priority.
Patrons may continue to access services at other Sonoma County Library locations. The Sonoma County Library is evaluating service impacts and alternative service options for the community.
