Sebastopol Police Logs, August 22-28
The following are crimes excerpted from Sebastopol Police Department daily crime log entries and listed at the time the alleged violation was reported.
Note: The log below for last Friday, August 26, reports an incident involving possession of a weapon at a K-12 school in the city. A suspect was taken into custody. We called the Sebastopol Police Department and they have not been willing to provide additional information. A source close to Analy High School said that there was no such incident at that campus. As it concerns school safety, we’d like to learn more about what happened and where the incident took place. Please let us know if you have any useful information.
TUESDAY
8:43 p.m. Driving while under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08% (misdemeanor) and hit and run with property damage at Sebastopol and Petaluma avenues. Suspect arrested.
WEDNESDAY
6:55 a.m. Vandalism including defacing property (felony) at Laguna Park Way and Morris Street. Pending further investigation.
5:15 p.m. Hit and run with property damage at Barnes and Sebastopol avenues. Pending further investigation.
FRIDAY
11:06 a.m. Possession of a weapon at a K-12 school (felony) in the city of Sebastopol. Suspect arrested.
SATURDAY
6:25 p.m. Battery of a spouse, ex-spouse or date, with aggravated circumstances (misdemeanor) at South Main Street and Palm Avenue. Suspect arrested.
SUNDAY
10:53 p.m. Served an arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge at Covert Lane and Healdsburg Avenue. Suspect arrested.
11:54 p.m. Possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor) at Barnes and Abbott avenues. Suspect arrested.
OTHER POLICE ACTION
The Sebastopol Police Department also reported 115 other events requiring police action during the period, such as lost animals, assisting citizens, parking violations, foot patrol, traffic hazards and reckless driving.
