This all-age housing complex caters to vulnerable, formerly homeless individuals ranging from mothers with children to disabled seniors and everything in between
Good article. Nice to read something "constructive" during this maelstrom of "bad things from poor governance". And BRAVO to McChesney, Nelson and Beaumont.
I guess $300K per tiny unit is the going price for any housing these days. Let's hope the 'rules' are enforced and the place doesn't need another $2MM renovation in a couple of years. If you expect nothing, that's what you usually get.
Really glad to hear folks are moving in. I was happy to be able to donate some items that folks might need that move in. I hope folks will be patient with this process of giving these folks a roof over their heads and a safe place to live.
The renovation was required to add kitchenettes, which allowed the former hotel rooms to qualify as permanent supportive housing.

compassionate and helpful beginnings. One person at a time...brings us back to how we can live together.
