Wonderful way to step into the New Year! . . . Exploring with open curiosity our relationships with our beyond-human neighbors and kin.

Thank you!

Beautifully written story. How much to 'do' for wildlife is such a moral dilemma and this story really gets to the heart of it. I can't resist feeding all the birds, rabbits, possums (and, unintentionally, rats on my property...and putting out water....as far from the house as possible.

Thank you for loving this pup. 🐾💕I really enjoyed the story, and more once I heard it got more healthy. I have most animals but want a coyote, on this acre in Seb city limits. I save 2/3rds for all of the animals and they get the creek here. Plus give to Our Wildlife Rescue- Maybe Ask them about the water bowl.

But I was traumatized reading what Uncle did! He was wrong! Heck. And I screeched in sorrow.

Thank you for making more happy comments after hearing what #€£—// did. I want to hang out on your street🙋‍♀️

THANKS! ENJOY 🐾

Love this story, Laura! So beautifully written that I was right there with you throughout. I have had two encounters with coyotes that went beyond hearing them yipping in the night. Quite in spite of my insistence that wild creatures always be revered as wild, I have twice had coyotes walk righ up to me. Once in the desert while I was on a vision quest with a few other women and once while I was walking ih the Hollywood Hills a coyote ambled right up to me, stopped in front of me, looked me in the eye and then ambled off againl. I have no reason for it happening. I just consider myself a lucky human to be blessed by these animals who stopped their lives long enough to enter mine. Magic.
