One woman's mission to beautify the town of Occidental by turning forgotten stretches of dirt along the town's main street into gardens
While being elderly, homeless, and living in her car, this community member of Occidental found the energy and drive to beautify her town! Wouldnβt it be amazing if some housing could be offered to her, if that is her desire.
What a beautiful thing Marilyn and Sherrylou have done. Itβs all about building community. And good on the community of Occidental for continuing their efforts! Brava/Bravo ππ½π€©ππΌπͺπ½ I hope Marilyn is well π
Wonderful in so many aspects : civic pride, altruism, initiative, creativity, and long term planning.
And also plantable areas. The planners for Sebastopol, for some reason, prefer buildings very near streets in the village center.
Thanks for showing how nice another village planned.
There lots of good people in the world and we should be enternally greatful for them. It's a wonderful story of good people helping good people
What a wonderful story!
What pretty little gardens.
Oh how I love this! What wonderful community members to cultivate such beauty with so much love.
