Trivia Night at HopMonk Sebastopol

Free to play! All ages welcome! Prizes for the top 3 teams. Come by yourself or form a team of up to six people and treat yourself to a night of food, drinks, and brain-teasing bar trivia. Rotating categories will keep you guessing all night.
A Botanical Evening Out
Thursday, August 25, 5:30 pm at the Vitality Center, 6914 Sebastopol Ave., Sebastopol (near Screamin’ Mimi’s). Cost: $75 per participant.
Sip on tea or rosé and create the evening away. Use fresh and dried botanicals to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Explore and create with plants in downtown Sebastopol on Thursday, August 25th at the Vitality Center. Choose a top or silk bandanna to naturally dye. We will botanically dye a silk hair tie or silk handkerchief too. Materials, libations and light fare provided as a part of the $75 fee. Space is limited.
Peace Wall Induction Ceremony
Saturday, August 27, 11 am in the Sebastopol Town Plaza, McKinley Ave & Petaluma Ave.
The purpose of the Living Peace Wall is to promote the cause of peace and justice by honoring the peacemakers among us, to encourage them to continue their work and to inspire others to do what they can do, large or small, to help create a more loving, kind and peaceful world. Everyone is invited to come to take part in honoring this year’s outstanding peacemakers: Barton Stone, Thich Nhat Hanh, Brother Toby Carroll, Rev. James Coffee.
Fresh Pressed Flowers Workshop with Jan Lochner

In this make-and-take workshop, local gardener, Jan Lochner, will share the simplicity and beauty of the art of pressed flowers.

Backstory: Jazz, Swing, Country Trio at Sebastopol Center for the Arts
Sunday, August 28, 2 – 4 pm at SebARTS, 282 S. High St.
Backstory is Sara Winge, rhythm guitar and vocals; Cary Black, bassist/vocalist; and Raul Reynoso, guitar. They freely range through modern folk, Western and jazz swing, bluegrass, and classic country, with a strong influence from the 1930s style of Django Reinhardt’s manouche, French “gypsy jazz.”
