Thinking of joining the Sebastopol Grange? Everyone is invited to the Grange’s next General Meeting on Tuesday, May 30. Social time is at 5:30 pm, dinner at 6 pm. Chef Matt Roberts will serve delicious enchiladas. (Minimum donation $10 please). Bring desserts or salads to complement our Mexican entree and your own dishes and silverware. At this month’s meeting, we’ll learn about regenerative agriculture and much more.
Fall Prevention Workshop: Medications and Fall Risk
Wednesday, May 31, 2:30 to 3:30 pm at Sebastopol Area Senior Center, 167 N. High Street, Sebastopol. Free
The final lecture in the series is another topic that is absolutely relevant to fall prevention. Some medications alone or in interaction with other medications create a hidden falling hazard. This lecture talks about specific medications and their broader categories, allowing participants to identify if they need to return to their primary care provider to address potential problems.

Blues Brews & BBQs: Tommy Castro and the Painkillers and more

Blues Brew & BBQs is a music event at Ives Park Sebastopol featuring Tommy Castro and the Painkillers along with two other bands, the Marshall Law Band and Jacob Philip Benning and Slo Gin. Tommy Castro and the Painkillers are recipients of the 2022 BB King Entertainers of the Year award, 2022 Blues Band of the Year award, and had the 2022 Blues Album of the Year, A Bluesman Came to Town. You don't want to miss this fundraising event hosted by the Sebastopol Rotary Club to raise funds to support swim programs, vocational programs, mental health, scholarships, exchange students, Ukraine and many more worthwhile causes that otherwise would not be funded. No matter what sparks your motivation to “click,” your photographs represent what is significant in your life. And while we don’t all have the $5,000 camera we feel we deserve, we always have our phones, with their own amazing cameras, on or around us! Through lecture, demonstrations and discussions we will go over: Gaining control over your camera with basic settings, compositional considerations; exposure, focus, shutter speeds, choice of lenses, panoramic, close up photography, portraits, filters, videos. Photographer Don Jackson is best known for his colorful images of landscapes and dramatic images of majestic bald eagles, flowing snow geese and tundra swans. This two-weekend event allows everyone to visit the studios of 116 exceptional artists in Sonoma County and see their amazing art up close. OUTwatch, Wine Country’s LGBTQI Film Festival, will happen Friday, June 9, through Sunday, June 11, as part of Sonoma County Pride’s Calendar of Events. After a three-year pandemic pause, OUTwatch returns to showcase three entertaining narrative films and two thought-provoking documentaries.
