Special City Council Meeting: Fire Services Feasibility Study
Tuesday, Jan. 31, 6 pm on Zoom
The public is invited to a special City Council meeting to review the Fire Services Feasibility Study. The question at hand is this: should the city consolidate its fire services with Gold Ridge District or should it remain independent? In August 2022, the Sebastopol City Council contracted with an outside agency to assess Sebastopol’s fire services situation and provide recommendations. Precious Guru: A Journey into the Wild Heart of the Second Buddha

The documentary film exploring the life and legacy of 8th-century spiritual master Padmasambhava features stunning cinematography of sacred sites and interviews with accomplished lamas like Mingyur Rinpoche, Western Buddhist teachers like Tsultrim Allione, Glenn Mullin and Professor Robert Thurman as well as the voices of monastics and lay people in the Himalayas. Director Marc Wennberg will be in-person with Grammy-award winning Bluegrass musician Peter Rowan taking part in the Q&A the Sebastopol screening. Get tickets.

The Colorful world of Vitreous Enameling
Thursdays, Feb. 2 - 23, 6 pm to 9 pm, at Sebastopol Center for the Arts. $345.
Explore the world of vitreous (glass) enamel to create one-of-a-kind art. Several techniques will be taught including sgraffito, basse-taille, the use of silver and gold foil, stencils, and metallic lusters. You can choose to focus on one technique or incorporate several of them in your design. Ages 13 and up. Reserve your spot.

Bob Marley Tribute with Sol Horizon and Native Elements

Screwballs Comedy Night

A fundraiser for Analy High School Baseball, this show features three comedians and an opening act by the Analy Drama Club. Tickets: $100 for two, $60 for one. Each ticket gets entry to the show, pulled pork sandwiches or vegetarian option, coleslaw and a choice of drink. Bar, raffle prizes and silent auction on site. They are raising money to build an indoor hitting facility. Get tickets.
