Mend & Befriend for Zero Waste Week

Menders and crafters of all ages are invited to a special Thursday Mend & Befriend to join Sonoma County in Zero Waste Week! Bring your supplies, tools, sewing machines and projects to work and socialize together. We sit, talk, help each other and have an all-around good time while fixing things. Annual Fuchsia Sale

Each year local members of the American Fuchsia Society grow a selection of fuchsia plants for their annual sale. They will have 4-inch pots, gallon uprights and hanging baskets, most in full bloom.
Botanical Printing Workshop
Saturday, July 29, 9 am to 2:30 pm at Bonnie Van Anda's Studio, 7112 East Hurlbut, Sebastopol. $200.
Botanical printing is a fascinating fiber art form, combining science with art. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the art of printing on natural textiles with a variety of plant material, using commercial equipment, tools, and textiles provided by Lyra Bobo and Bonnie Van Anda, the workshop presenters. Workshops are limited to six participants to provide more one on one assistance in a covered protected outdoor workspace. Reserve your spot.
Sebastopol Walks: Solar Sebastopol

Over the years, a variety of solar power systems have been installed on schools, homes, and public places around town. They each have a story behind it. Tor Allen will lead this walk visiting a diverse mix of solar locations and share stories of how they came to be, related policies, and how they are working today.
