Hopmonk Sebastopol Presents: Labor of Love, a free concert

Monday, Sept. 5, noon to 8 pm at Hopmonk Sebastopol, 230 Petaluma Ave., Sebastopol. Free Admission.

Join the Hopmonk Sebastopol family for the first annual Labor of Love, a free live music event in Hopmonk’s spacious beer garden, featuring Burnside, Burrows & Dilbeck and the Thugz.

Sebastopol City Council Meeting
Tuesday, Sept. 6, 6 pm on Zoom

The next meeting will feature a discussions of 1) Changes to the Sonoma County Tourism business improvement district that would require all vacation rentals to pay 2% of their income to Sonoma County Tourism (This is in addition to the 12-16% they aleady pay to TOT taxes); 2) A response to the Grand Jury's report on affordable housing; and 3) the final Calder Creek Naturalization plan.Find the agenda and Zoom link here.


Peacetown
Wednesday, Sept. 7, at The Barlow, Hopmonk and Gravenstein Grill

Peacetown, a multi-stage concert event centered around the Barlow, happens every Wednesday night throughout the summer. This is the Peacetown finale! Here's this week's line-up:

  • Doc Craft at BBQ Smokehouse Bistro, 4 to 8 pm

  • Bluebyrds at the Foundry, 4:30 to 7 pm

  • Poor Man’s Whiskey in the Blue Ridge Kitchen Backyard, 5 pm to 7:30 pm

  • Burnside at Crooked Goat Brewery, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

  • The Familiar Strangers at Hopmonk Tavern, 6 to 8:30 pm

  • SOR All Stars at School of Rock stage, 4:30 to 7:30 pm

  • The Highway Poets at the Community Market Stage

  • Bolero at Seismic Brewery, 7 to 9 pm

  • Bob Culbertson at Gravenstein Grill, 7 to 9 pm


Creative Dance Movement
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 9:30-11 am at the Sebastopol Grange, 6000 Sebastopol Ave.

Individual movement exploration with no formal instruction. Footwear and mat for floor work suggested. Suggested donation $5-$10. First and third Wednesdays.


The Return of “The Whale”
Friday to Sunday, Sept. 9-11, 10 am to 4 pm at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 High St., Sebastopol. Free.

Artist Jos Sances’ magnificent art piece, The Whale, a 51-square feet scratchboard history of American capitalism etched into the shape of a whale, returns to SebARTS this week. Don’t miss it!


Live Music @ Pax Winery
Friday, Sept. 9,  5 pm at Pax Wines, 6780 Mckinley St, Sebastopol Ca. Free With Tasting.

Every Friday evening & Sunday afternoon, enjoy live music at the tasting room. This week hear Gabe Duran.


Makers Market
Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 12-4 pm in the Sebastopol Downtown Plaza

Sturgeon's Mill Historic Steam Sawmill Demonstration Run
Sunday, Sept. 10-11, 2022, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, 2150 Green Hill Road, Sebastopol

Head West Marketplace
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10-11, 11 am to 5 pm at The Barlow, Sebastopol

Head West is an outdoor marketplace of makers, merchants, crafters, designers and artists in partnership with The Barlow.  Second weekends every month, March to December.

  • 75+ local brand and small business booths w/ new, handmade, eco-friendly, locally sourced goods and found vintage goods
