Preventing Falls Lecture Series: Common Vestibular Conditions in the Elderly and How They can be Treated
Wednesday, May 24, 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the Sebastopol Area Senior Center, 167 N. High St., Sebastopol. Free.
Vestibular conditions, like dizziness and vertigo, are very common as we get older and are a major contributor to falls. However these conditions are varied and can be extremely complex. Often seniors with them are confused by their conditions and treatment. This lecture begins to sort out the most widely experienced conditions, naming and describing them as well as pointing to treatments. Presenter: Lisa Bell, P.T.
Rose and Aromatic White/Pink Wine Festival

Join Gravenstein Grill for an early evening celebrating all the incredible aromatic white and rose wines produced in Sonoma County. Sebastopol Walks: Heritage Trees of Sebastopol
Saturday, May 27, 9 am. Meet at the downtown plaza. Free.
Join walk leader Virginia Anderegg and discover the trees of our town that are old, large, and beautiful. Walk at a moderate pace through several neighborhoods of central Sebastopol, stopping at several specific spots to identify heritage trees in gardens and public spaces. About three miles. Return to the Plaza by 11:30 am. Wear sunscreen, a hat and walking shoes. Bring water and a snack.
Coloring Spring at the Laguna with Nina Antze

Come explore and draw beautiful spring plants at the Laguna and take your newfound skills to your favorite flowers from your own garden! We will explore a variety of colored pencil techniques and learn how to blend, burnish and create new colors while incorporating the techniques of botanical drawing. We will focus on drawing, and color application. All levels are welcome! Reserve your spot.

Sonoma County Regional Parks and Sonoma County Library have joined forces to provide your family a unique and interactive story time in nature. A storywalk is a fun activity that combines the physical benefits of walking outdoors and the educational benefits of reading for children and adults alike. Meander along the trail, read the children’s story and enjoy an activity at the end of every page. After the story, join us at the craft activity table for a fun art project! Little Parkies: Wild Wetlands

Eager to enjoy the outdoors with your little one? We'll provide a fun and educational morning for children ages 3-7 and their families. Engage in exploratory walks in the park, hands-on learning, nature-based activities and unique crafts to take home. This month, we'll play together along the gentle, meandering trails to see what wonders and wilds can be found at our wetland park, Laguna de Santa Rosa Trail. The cost is $10 per Sonoma County family and $12 for out-of-county attendees (up to four people per family). Letterpress Greeting Cards

This four-hour workshop is perfect for those who want to make a small run of folded cards. You will learn a brief history of letterpress, get an overview of the space and equipment, and gain some experience learning fundamental letterpress techniques. Reserve your spot.
