Special City Council meeting and Town Hall on Fire Services Delivery
Tuesday, Sept. 26, 6 pm, at the Youth Annex, 425 Morris St., Sebastopol. Free.
The Sebastopol Fire Services Ad Hoc Committee has scheduled a Special City Council Meeting and Town Hall to discuss fire services in Sebastopol. The committee will present a report on its work and provide an opportunity for the city council to ask questions. They will also conduct a Town Hall for members of the public in an effort to achieve a comprehensive long-range vision for the future of fire services in Sebastopol. Home Gardeners Produce Exchange and monthly Grange meeting featuring Trashlantis
Tuesday, Sept. 26, 5 to 5:30 pm for produce exchange; social time is at 5:30 pm, dinner at 6 pm. Free.
Swap produce from 5 to 5:30 pm, then go to the monthly grange meeting to find out what this interesting group is all about. Please bring a potluck dish to share and your own dishes. The program for the evening is "Trashlantis: Introducing a Bad Environmentalism Festival." Find out about this ultimate post-apocalyptic festival coming to Sebastopol in October of 2024.
Winging It Wednesday
Wednesday, Sept. 27, 8:30 am to 10:30 am, at Ragle Ranch Regional Park, in the parking lot near the restrooms. Free, though there's a $7 fee for parking.
Enjoy leisurely bird walks for all levels of experience on the last Wednesday of the month. These outings are designed especially for older adults to enjoy nature, each other’s company and the unique avian friends found at each park. Oak woodlands offer a diverse habitat for a wide variety of birds in Ragle Ranch Regional Park. Bring your binoculars or borrow a pair from us. Sonoma County Art Trails
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 and Oct. 7 to 8, 10 am to 5 pm, at art studios around the county. Free.
Sonoma County Art Trails, one of the oldest juried annual open studio tours in the country, is celebrating its 38th year. This weekend and next, 130 professional local artists from Sebastopol to Healdsburg to Petaluma and Sonoma to the Coast will welcome visitors into their studios to see their paintings, prints, drawings, mixed media art, jewelry, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, ceramics, glass, and woodworking. Sebastopol Walks: Time Out with Sebastopol Area Time Bank
Saturday, Sept. 30, 9 am to 11 am. Meet at the Downtown Plaza. Free.
It's the best time of year to enjoy walking in Sebastopol. Be a tourist in your own small town, walk where you've never walked before and learn about the Sebastopol Area Time Bank, where "currency" is time, not dollars. This two-hour, walk-and-talk adventure will include water and treats and contests and even a software demonstration. You'll finish the journey on North High Street near the library, so you may wish to park in the municipal lot between the library and the senior center, and then walk over to the plaza for the 9 am start.
Sol Horizon – Return to Our Roots
