Luther Burbank Experiment Farm Work Day

Join a cadre of enthusiastic volunteers in preserving and maintaining the Luther Burbank Experiment Farm every Wednesday from 9 am to noon. They need volunteers across the spectrum of gardening, leading tours, showing people around the cottage, selling items at the cottage gift shop, and more. All skill and ability levels welcome.

At The Case: Poems and Instabook
Wednesday, August 16, 6 pm to 9 pm at North Bay Letterpress Arts, 925 Gravenstein Hwy. South, Sebastopol. $75.
In this evening workshop we will compose three to four poems spontaneously, at the case. Learn and excerise the basics of typesetting, workshop your poetry with other students, and take home proofs of your pieces to share with friends and family. Later, each student will receive 10 copies of a collaborative chapbooks featuring their work inside. Reserve your spot.

Cafe/Playground Fundraiser at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church

Fundraiser featuring a gourmet dinner and a fun performance by a local folk rock band, the WAJ Trio with friends. The event aims to raise funds for the construction of a community cafe at the playground at St. Stephen’s. Roman Gray Band - Summer Concert at SebARTS

Roman Gray, just graduated from Analy High School, with his next generation jazz-based band of college-bound musician and singer-songwriter friends before they disperse for higher education, with Spencer Barkman on drums and Paul Koo on piano. Roman has been playing guitar and drums since childhood, and has expanded into piano, mandolin, bass guitar and upright bass for jazz and symphonic applications. He will be presenting his own music, called “Strawberry Rock,” derived from his favorites: The Talking Heads, The Police, Lou Reed, David Bowie, Elton John, and McCartney/Lennon. Learn more.
