The Gypsy Cafe is pleased to present singer/songwriter Keith Greeninger with special guest Joel Rafael in an intimate evening of authentic Americana and folk music. A seasoned troubadour and multi-award-winning songwriter, the Santa Cruz artist paints intricate portraits of the human condition with powerful melodic images, deep engaging guitar rhythms and husky, heart-wrenching vocals.

Historical Women’s Suffrage Trail Marker Dedication
Friday, August 19, at 4 pm at the Odd Fellows Building, 195 No. Main St. (at McKinley St.), Sebastopol. Cost: Free
The Western Sonoma County Historical Society will be dedicating a Historical Marker that was awarded us by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, marking a site of significant women’s suffrage activity. The marker will be placed at the back N/E corner of the Odd Fellows Building at 195 No. Main Street and McKinley Street, Sebastopol at 4 p.m. on August 19. A reception at the site will precede the dedication at 3:30 p.m.

Docent Tour at Hidden Forest botanical reserve

Art Walk – Gallery and Grounds Open at the Laguna Environmental Center

David Jenkins "El Oso" Solo Flamenco Guitar in the Andalusian Tradition
Sunday, August 21, 2 pm to 4 pm at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High St., Sebastopol. Cost: By donation.
Guitarist/Composer David Jenkins (“El Oso”) performs works inspired from his immersion in Spain’s Andalusian flamenco. From early studies on cello at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, David later apprenticed himself to learn dance accompaniment from choreographer Manolo Marin in Triana, the Roma (“gypsy”) section of Seville, and studied with disciples of flamenco masters “Niño Ricardo” and “Sabicas.” He has since travelled to study the origins of Roma music both in India and Romania and has performed in contemporary presentations in Mexico City and Oaxaca in Mexico, and Granada, Nicaragua; and in flamenco dance companies in the Bay Area.
Comedy Open Mic at Hopmonk Sebastopol
