AfroHouse 6-Week Dance Series
Starts Monday, April 24, 6 to 7 pm, Sebastopol Community Cultural Center, 390 Morris St., Sebastopol. $15-20 sliding scale.
Join in for an uplifting and dynamic AfroHouse and Afro-Fusion dance class series designed to explore, integrate, and celebrate the vast and dynamic movements, expressions, and techniques across dance traditions from the African Diaspora and beyond! Guided Meditation
Tuesday, April 25, 10:45 am at Sebastopol Area Senior Center, 167 N. High St., Sebastopol. $5-$8
A meditation class suitable for all experience levels. This one hour-class includes brief check-ins by participants, a 30-minute meditation (partially guided), a dharma reflection by the group leader and/or time for questions. Basic mindfulness meditation and inspiration to continue with an individual practice at home. (This class happens every Tuesday through August.) Register here.
Make apple blossoms to line the Apple Blossom Parade route

Annual AWS Apple Blossom Art Show Reception
Friday, April 28, 7 to 9 pm at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High St., Sebastopol. Free.
Artists of the Art Workshop of Western Sonoma County (AWS) are having their annual Apple Blossom Art Show at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, beginning with a free reception featuring music and refreshments on Friday. The exhibit continues on Saturday, April 29 from 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday, April 30 from 11 am to 5 pm. Come and view over 160 original works of art in various media created by more than 40 local artists. (Friday is free. On Saturday and Sunday, admission is included with the purchase of a ticket to the Apple Blossom Festival.) More info here.

Free Family Matinee at the Rialto: Raiders of the Lost Ark

Apple Blossom Parade and Festival
Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, along Main Street and at Ives Park
This classic hometown festival hearkens back to the days when apples, not grapes, were the region’s main agricultural product. It begins will a classic small-town parade down Main Street, filled with school bands; sweet home-made floats; and classic cars with waving local poohbahs. The parade kicks off at 10 am on Saturday, April 29, starting at Analy High School and flowing down Main Street. The two-day festival runs from 11 to 6 on April 29 and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday, April 30, in Ives Park. You can purchase tickets ahead of time for $12 at the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce, 265 S. Native Plant Propagation Workshop
Saturday, April 29, 10 am to 2:30 pm at the Laguna Environmental Center, 900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa. $125.
