Senior Saunter

Mend & Befriend

Everyone is invited to socialize while mending or crafting at Mend & Befriend. Gather at the Grange to mend and craft while making new friends. Join the hand-craft circle every other month to learn new skills, get help with a project, and strengthen the community one stitch at a time. Each event includes a clothes and fabric swap.
The Sebastopol Pride Parade
Tuesday, June 2, at 5 pm, at Many Rivers Books & Tea, 130 S. Main St., Sebastopol. Free.
June is Pride Month. Join Councilmember Stephen Zollman for Sebastopol’s annual Pride March and Flag Raising. Gather at Many Rivers Books & Tea for the short walk to City Hall for the flag-raising ceremony or join the group directly at City Hall.
Sebastopol City Council Meeting
Tuesday, June 2, at 6 pm, at Sebastopol Youth Annex, 425 Morris St., Sebastopol. Free.
The City Council will take a first look at the next fiscal year’s General Fund and Capital Improvement budgets and hear a report from the Enterprise Funds Oversight Committee. There will also be CalPERS pension obligation update and a 115 Pension Trust update. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important meeting. Handbuilding Wednesdays

Designed for new and returning students, this clay hand-building course helps participants improve pottery skills while enjoying the SebArts clay studio community. Sessions include demonstrations, project work, and individual guidance. Week 1 covers pinch pots, coils, and texture; Week 2 focuses on slips, slabs, and slump molds; Week 3 explores glazing success strategies. Register now.
The Peacetown Summer Concert Series

Peacetown launches its 14th summer season with Poorman’s Whiskey, whose high-energy blend of bluegrass, old-time music, and Southern rock has become a beloved opening-night tradition. Observational Drawing 3-Week Course

This course is for anyone who wants to practice and advance their drawing skills— beginners, those who haven’t practiced in years, or any artists who just want to learn more and practice with consistent feedback and guidance. Guitarist Richard Smith at HopMonk

A Musical Event With John Wubbenhorst and Friends

Internationally known flutist and composer John Wubbenhorst will perform with Gina Macioce on vocals and keyboard and Eric “Doc” Smith on the electronic ZenDrum. Known for his mastery of both the Western flute and the North Indian bansuri, Wubbenhorst creates music that is deeply healing, mystical, and grounding. The evening will include a discussion about the music and its role in enhancing spiritual practice.
Jizo Peace Project

Join this monthly, heart-centered gathering to create Jizo guardians from clay—symbols of compassion, protection, and peace. Rooted in Buddhist tradition, Jizo figures honor children and all who have passed, those in transition, and those in distress. This ongoing project is dedicated to remembering those lost to war, with a special focus now on the approximately 19,000 children who have perished in Israel and Gaza in recent years. First Fridays at Chimera Arts

Chimera Arts, Sonoma County’s maker space, continues their First Fridays, where there will be live music from the Sonoma County band SPACE, food and beverages available for a minimal donation, hands-on activities and live demonstrations. SPACE is a four-piece psych rock band from Sebastopol, California. Their music draws on various influences, from funk, krautrock, and dub to post-rock, ambient, and improvisational music. Favoring the collective mindset in all of their songs, SPACE uses hypnotic themes as launch pads for spontaneous group improvisation. The result is a unique experience in patient, meditative, and egoless playing.

Art at the Source Open Studios 2026

Big West Wine Fest

Big West Wine Fest, the largest gathering of California natural winemakers, takes place June 6–7 from 1 pm to 6 pm in a redwood grove at Solar Punk Farms near downtown Guerneville along the Russian River. Forager and environmental educator Robin Greenfield will lead a walk exploring the edible and medicinal plants growing throughout the area.
