Danceypants
Monday, June 3, 7:15 pm, and Wednesday, June 5, 9 am, at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center, 425 Morris St., Sebastopol. $15.
Ever tried Danceypants at the community center? Now’s the time. At the start of each month, they learn a new dance routine and build on it each week. Come to either class or both if you want extra practice. Danceypants is a fun dance class open to all sizes, shapes and levels. You’ll warm up, stretch, strengthen and learn simple choreography to popular 80s, 90s, 00s music. They do a dance to a new song each month. Our June routine will start June 3 (Monday class) and June 5 (Wednesday class). Come to either. Reserve your spot.
Sebastopol Pride March
The event will start at Many Rivers Books on the corner of Main and Burnett streets on Tuesday, June 4 at 4:30 pm and will wind through town and end up at city hall in time for the official raising of the Pride flag by the city at 5 pm. New Class: Nurturing Connections

Connect with other seniors looking for socialization. The purpose of this group is to cultivate practices that support care in wellbeing thru connecting with oneself and one another. There will be readings, group dialog and exercises to explore our thoughts openly with one another. Reserve your spot.
Carbon Conversation: Optimizing Rooftop Solar

How to optimize a rooftop solar system, build resiliency, improve economics, and reduce greenhouse gases… in the age of NEM3? California’s 28-year-old Net Energy Metering Law’s newest change, coined NEM3, dramatically devalued any excess solar electrons sent to the grid. This encourages strategies to utilize more solar generation onsite through the use of a battery, switching to electric appliances and shifting loads. Challenging? Yes. Doable? Yes.
Where Olive Trees Weep: film screening and Q&A with the directors

Where Olive Trees Weep is a beautiful, poignant, heartbreaking new film about the struggles and resilience of Palestinian people under Israeli occupation. It explores themes of loss, trauma and the quest for justice. We follow, among others, Palestinian journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, grassroots activist Ahed Tamimi, and Israeli journalist Amira Hass. Get tickets.
Fundamentals of Creating Ceramic Garden Totems
Thursday, June 6, 2 pm to 5 pm, at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High St., Sebastopol. $250.
Using basic-level hand-building skills, participants will learn to create unique garden totem pieces. The course will cover skill building with pinch pots, coils, and slabs. We will explore applied textures, as well as the use of colored slips and glazes to personalize each piece. Participants can expect to have fun while skill-building— leading to an elegant 2’6” piece of art. Reserve your spot.
OUTwatch – Wine Country’s LGBTQI Film Festival
Saturday, June 8, at Rialto Cinemas, 6868 McKinley, Sebastopol. Tickets are $13.75 per film or $11.75 for seniors and children.
