At this meeting, the Budget Committee will review the 2026-2027 Budget at a Glance document. Additionally, they’ll consider the cost of the increase in committee/commission meeting frequency, as well as financing for the replacement of a vactor truck for Public Works. Aging and the Eyes

Outdoor Traditional Pranayama

This state-of-the-art building will serve as a collaborative hub for student teams to design, build, and test their skills, from engineering and culinary arts to digital technology and agricultural sciences, equipping the next generation of professionals. Hallberg Butterfly Gardens Fall Native Plant Sale and Fundraiser
Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 am to 4 pm, at Hallberg Butterfly Gardens, 8687 Oak Grove Ave., Sebastopol. Free but by appointment.
Hallberg’s nursery specializes in California native plants that support local wildlife and pollinators — especially butterflies and moths. This fall’s sale features red-flowering currant, seaside daisy, Douglas iris, Dutchman’s pipevine, western azalea, blue elderberry, tiger lily, hedgerow plants, and more, with staff on hand and plant lists organized by bloom time and by butterfly/moth host species. Parking is limited, so appointments are required. After your nursery visit, you’re welcome to stay for a self-guided walk through the gardens. Purchases support the gardens’ habitat work. Sebastopol Cemetery Walk

The Western Sonoma County Historical Society’s cemetery walk leads guests through the cemetery grounds and six evocative vignettes to tell the stories resting beneath the headstones. The Walking Tours are sold out, but there are still tickets available for the seated performance at St. Stephen’s. This is a fundraiser for the Western Sonoma County Historical Society.
The Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble’s 20th anniversary concert

The Sebastopol-based Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble will celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary with a special concert this Saturday in Occidental. Ukrainian BBQ and Beer Festival

Sebastopol World Friends hosts an authentic Ukrainian shashlik barbecue with specially brewed beer, Ukrainian music and snacks. Proceeds support Sebastopol World Friends’ ongoing efforts to fund renovation of a dormitory building in Chyhyryn, Ukraine (Sebastopol’s sister city), which will house hundreds of internally displaced people from areas of Ukraine who have been impacted by the war there.
