Sebastopol City Council meeting
Tuesday, Sept. 2, 6 pm, at the Sebastopol Youth Annex, 425 Morris St., Sebastopol. Free.
The council will hear an informational presentation from Jack Tibbetts, executive director of Saint Vincent de Paul Sonoma County, which is building Gravenstein Commons, a Project HomeKey homeless housing complex, in north Sebastopol. The council will also discuss changing Animal Control providers, the Economic Garden Initiative, a contract with 4Leaf for planning services, a new CIP project for the Calder Creek storm drain in Ives Park, and an amendment to council committees. They will also consider adding a land acknowledgment to city meeting agendas and the city website. See agenda and documentation here.

Patio Party for Dogwood Animal Rescue Benefit

Dogwood Animal Rescue is a unique, non-profit animal-rescue organization located in and run by volunteers. Dogwood’s mission: To support animals and the people who love them through rescue, rehoming, spay/neuter and education. Come meet the volunteers and adoptable animals, buy some Dogwood swag and/or crafts made by Dogwood volunteers. There will also be a fantastic raffle. All proceeds go straight to the animals in our care. Please note: Dogwood does not adopt from these events. Occasionally, pre-approved applicants pick up their forever pets to take home. Twenty percent of food sales at HopMonk during the event will go to Dogwood.
