Sebastopol Meet Your Neighbors (MYN) class

The Sebastopol Fire Department has been providing MYN (Meet Your Neighbors) classes since 2010. The MYN class utilizes eight simple and proven preparedness steps and is an interactive time to discuss information, ideas and concerns about preparing and responding to emergencies in our neighborhoods. The objectives of the class are for attendees to become familiar with the basic framework of MYN, to feel confident enough in the framework to connect with their neighbors and join with the other neighborhoods in the Sebastopol area that are learning to work together to be more resilient when emergencies happen. Fall Lecture Series: Music and the Brain

Wednesday, September 20 is the first of four Wednesdays in our Autumn Health Lecture Series on various topics relating to aging, balance and memory. This first session is with Dr. Allan Bernstein, a noted neurologist retired from the Kaiser Health system and now consulting and teaching around the North Bay (when he isn’t growing fruit trees and traveling). Friends of the Sebastopol Library Book Sale
Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 20 to 23, at Sebastopol Regional Library, 7140 Bodega Ave., Sebastopol. Free.
This sale includes books for adults, children and teens, including the newest fiction. Most books are bargain-priced at $1. Most children's and teen's books are 25-50 cents. The sale is open to all. No scanners allowed on opening night. Proceeds help Sebastopol Library continue its mission of providing great reading, wonderful free programs and fantastic services to West County.
