Fat Tuesday in the Beergarden with the The Pulsators
Tuesday, Feb. 21, begins at 5 pm, at Hopmonk Tavern, 230 Petaluma Ave., Sebastopol. Free.
Join the Pulsators celebrating Fat Tuesday, the last chance to raise a ruckus before Lent. This is a free show, no ticket required. It will be held outdoors in the beer garden. Learn more.

Yoga for Peace: Stand with Ukraine
Friday, Feb. 24, at 6 to 7:30 pm at Wischemann Hall, 465 Morris St., Sebastopol. Minimum $30 donation.
Sebastopol World Friends is offering an evening of yoga on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine. This special yoga class will be led by three Sonoma County Instructors, Hediyeh Bell, Monica Bravo, and Vickie Morse. A brief meditation for World Peace will follow. All proceeds will go directly to Sebastopol World Friends for humanitarian aid for Sebastopol’s sister city, Chyhyryn. A live zoom option is available. Get tickets.

Sebastopol Walks: Drinks
Saturday, Feb. 25, 10 am to 12:30 pm. Meet at the downtown plaza.
Have you ever wondered how gin is made or what happens inside that new place on Main called Soft Medicine? On this easy walk around Sebastopol, we will explore the diverse selection of drinking establishments in town. We will visit a distillery for gin and vodka; a brewery to find out how beer is made; a juice bar that makes more than juice; a sanctuary that makes elixirs and teas; a coffee shop that has perfected coffee tea bags; and a shop that sells boba. The walk is about 3 miles.

Come to the Sebastopol Masons’ annual All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feed. Two sittings: 5:30 pm and 7 pm. Family style seating. Bring your whole family. Coiled Straw Basket Workshop with Charlie Kennard
Sunday, Feb. 26, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at Laguna Environmental Center, 900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa. $120.
Learn how to use native grasses to create baskets! We will use native deer grass or rush as the foundation for the beginning of a bowl-shaped basket suitable for holding fruit or for dough-rising. As binder, we will use peeled willow. Participants with strong hands and who wish to start a skep (beehive) will have the option of using a roadside grass and binding cane. Reserve your spot.
