Beginner Yoga with Juliet

Join this sweet afternoon class, practicing beginner’s yoga, featuring gentle stretches and feel good postures. It is an easy and enjoyable way to practice balance, strength and relaxation. You will leave feeling revitalized and at ease. Some light chanting and meditation included. All are welcome!
Sebastopol City Council Meeting

Two big items on this week’s agenda: the release of the Capital Improvement Plan budget for this year and a public hearing on a development agreement for Hotel Sebastopol.

The Senior Center’s 3rd of July Parade in downtown Sebastopol
Wednesday, July 3. Departs from the Sebastopol Senior Center, 167 N. High St., promptly at 10:30 am.
Everyone is invited to participate in this new event. Dress up in your best red, white and blue and join this fun walk around downtown.
3rd of July Fireworks & Music Extravaganza
Wednesday, July 3. Early gates open at 4 pm; the show starts at 5 pm at the Analy High School Football Field, 6950 Analy Ave., Sebastopol. Tickets are $20 for adults at the gate, $5 for ages 6-11, and kids 5 and under are free.
The Kiwanis Club of Sebastopol’s 3rd of July Fireworks & Music Extravaganza gathers thousands of families at Analy High School’s athletic field every year for an evening of community celebration and patriotic splendor. There will be live music from School of Rock, The Soul Section, Mr. Music (Jim Corbett), and DJ ChrisW, as well as an expanded dance area. Look for more food vendors (14 of them!) and an expanded Kids Corner. There will even be a rock-climbing wall, plus raffle prizes, a flag ceremony and, of course, an awe-inspiring fireworks show.
There are also fireworks pre-shows on July 3 at Crooked Goat and Community Market in the Barlow.
Foxes in the Henhouse

Foxes In The HenHouse is four audacious women with stunning three-part harmonies and mad instrumental skills. It’s the lovechild of Doc Watson and Mavis Staples—a soulful quartet at the intersection of Americana, country, blues, jazz, gospel, bluegrass, cowboy, and swing. Real roots music, for good times...and hard times, too.
Reverberations 2024 at SebArts Gallery

Looking for something cool to do this weekend? Check out Reverberations 2024, an immersive art experience, merging world-renowned art from private collections with ekphrastic poetry. (An ekphrastic poem is a poem written in response to a work of art.) A beautiful exhibition in a beautiful (and air-conditioned) gallery space. The gallery is open Friday from 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. This exhibit runs through August 10.
Chimera First Fridays Open House

At their First Fridays events, Chimera opens its doors to let you check out what they’re are all about. Stop by to meet your local community of makers, get a tour of our facility, enjoy some fine libations and food, and hear some great local music. You can also have some fun with hands-on activities and live demonstrations. Admission, demonstrations, tours and music are all free. Beer, wine and food are offered at a modest price.

Nature Walk at Hidden Forest Botanical Reserve

Cool off in the shade as plant ecologist Mike Boss leads you on a guided tour through the Hidden Forest Botanical Reserve, showing you seasonal highlights of the forest, including unique and rarely seen plants.
