Estate planning attorney and Senior Center Board Member Tate Birnie will be giving a one-hour presentation overview of estate planning. She will be answering your questions about what type of estate planning documents you need. She will be discussing the differences between wills and trusts, introducing you to power of attorney and advance health care directive, and discussing beneficiary designations for retirement accounts and life insurance. Science Buzz Cafe: What Is A Time Bank?

Time bank co-founder Gayle Bergmann will share the history of time banking nationally and locally, Time Bank Events Team Leader Nina Faulkner will share her experiences giving and receiving help, and Time Bank Administrative Coordinator David Gill will demonstrate how the time bank’s Time and Talents member website works.

Peacetown with Fleetwood Macrame and Bohemian Highway

Fleetwood Macramé has become one of the Bay Area’s most exciting tribute bands. What began as a simple exercise in fun has turned into an awe inspiring live experience complete with show stopping renditions of Fleetwood Mac’s greatest hits. Audience participation is encouraged. Opening act Bohemian Highway is releasing their new limited edition vinyl album “Songs In The Key Of Bees” at this show. (Side 2 was recorded live at Peacetown.)

Resentment, anger, jealousy have stolen enough of your precious energy. On this morning, come together in community to return that energy, to put an end to the suffering we cause by our own hands. If you have ever been hurt by someone, or hurt someone, then this is the time and place for you. This is a FREE event, however please register as there is a 50-person maximum at the site. Attendees may park outside Ragle Ranch park and walk in for free. There is a $7 fee to park in the park, or you may use a Sonoma County Parks Pass if you have one. Reserve your spot.
Opening Reception—Journeys of the Soul: Paintings by Teri Sloat

According to the artist, “From the series, Woman and Fox, A Journey, these pastel paintings have allowed me to work my way through my own inner journey. I have walked through many of these landscapes physically and they have offered me places to contemplate, new paths to explore, and places to stop, reflect and rest. These journeys have offered sunlit moments of revelation, awareness, and comfort. Journeys of the Soul also include paintings of the lush inner landscape of an imagination we share. Woman and Fox have continued to travel together through 29 paintings as my own personal journey continues.” Show runs from August 2 through September 28.
