Produce Exchange/Donation
Tuesday, Oct. 22, 5 pm to 5:45 pm, at the Sebastopol Grange, 6000 Sebastopol Ave., Hwy. 12, Sebastopol.
Trade surplus items from your garden for something you don’t have. You may also bring produce that you have gleaned (with permission of course) from a neighbor’s yard. We will be joined by the Master Food Preservers who have a wealth of information to pass on. At the end of the exchange, surplus produce will be donated to the food pantry.
Your Energy Efficient and Resilient Home

Planning Commission Meeting

What Matters Most: Advance Care Directive Planning

Redwing Keyssar, director of education at the UCSF MERI Center, has been leading people through the process of creating meaningful Advance Directives for Healthcare for the past 30 years. Create a personalized plan to honor your wishes for how you want to be treated in a hospital setting. Understand the differences between all the names and types of documents: Advance Directives; Power of Attorney etc. Second Session: answer questions about completed documents, finalize, sign and make it a legal document. A notary will be onsite during the second session to legalize documents. If interested in this service please bring a valid ID or passport. Speaker series: Talk with Your Mouth Full, with Lynda Hopkins

This month’s speaker is Supervisor Lynda Hopkins, who represents the Board of Supervisors 5th District, including Sebastopol and all of west county. Supervisor Hopkins will discuss how parents of young children can find ways to step into leadership in our community. Sonoma County Mycological Association meeting

Mulching at Sebastopol Community Cultural Center – Volunteer!

Learn about sheet mulching from Sonoma County Master Gardeners, and put your new knowledge to work at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center. We want to improve our landscaping. In addition to sheet mulching, we’ll also do some planting with native plants and maybe even some weeding. We’ve received a generous donation of mulch from Grab ‘n Grow. Sonoma County Art Trails, one of the oldest juried annual open studio tours in the country, is celebrating its 40th year. This fall, 124 professional local artists from Healdsburg to Petaluma and Sonoma to the Coast will welcome visitors into their studios to see the paintings, prints, drawings, mixed media art, jewelry, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, ceramics, glass, and woodworking that make Sonoma County an art destination.
