AARP Free Tax Prep

Handbuilding Wednesdays
Wednesday, Feb. 7, 14, 21, at 1:30 to 4 pm at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High St., Sebastopol. $55 (sliding scale).
This three-session course is designed for new and returning students, wishing to improve their clay hand-building skills and enjoy being a part of the Sebarts clay studio community. Each session will start with a demonstration of a specific project related to functional pottery. Class time will also include unstructured time for students to explore special projects and consult with the instructor as needed. Week 1: Pinch pots, coils, and texture; Week 2: Slips, slabs, and slump molds; Week 3: Glazing success strategies. Reserve your spot.
Sweetheart Wine Pairing

Stained Glass: For Beginners

In this class, you will be guided through the basics of the copper foil method in order to create a beautiful stained glass sun catcher! You will learn how to wrap each glass piece with foil, solder them together, then add a black, copper, or silver patina to create a custom finish to the glass edges. Each stained glass piece will be finished by adding a hoop and a string. Reserve your spot.
Seasonal Natural Dye Workshop - Winter 2024

Dye plants have been used for thousands of years in arts and crafts and are just as relevant today as in the past. Whether your creative process includes weaving, embroidery, knitting, hooking, stitching, mending, felting, papermaking or any of the other creative ways to explore fiber, this class is for you. Natural colors can be vivid to subtle and can be manipulated for color value, hue and saturation. Using natural dyes can also reduce our impact on the environment and teach us more about our landscape, botany, chemistry and native plants. Reserve your spot.
