Seed saving gives us the opportunity to work with the full lifecycle of a plant not just the edible parts. If you have not winnowed seed before, it can be an incredibly satisfying task that connects us to our ancestors’ traditional stewardship of seeds from foraged and grown crops. In this hands-on class, you will learn a variety of seed-processing techniques. Try your hand at cleaning seeds harvested from our seed garden. We will use simple winnowing techniques from bowls, as well as specialized seed screens and old school machines. Class will be held on the north side of the Seed Library in the shade. You can also come harvest seed with us at our Seed Garden Work Party, 9 am-11 am, on the church grounds. Our Seed Library will also be open from 9 am-12 pm—lots of free seeds for the community grown in our seed garden.

Thank you League of Women Voters. In past years they teamed with Maplight for voters guide and financial disclosure.
This election cycle they don’t have such information but Calmatters does. A very helpful website: https://calmatters.org/california-voter-guide-2024/
