This collection of new paintings by Susan St. Thomas represents a liberating shift of direction in her artwork. The beginning process is free and intuitive. A theme emerges as the painting develops and a story is implied but not explained. She invites the viewer to enjoy their own impressions. In addition to large acrylics on canvas, there are vibrant watercolor works on Arches paper and acrylic monotypes. Join us at the gallery for food and conversation with Susan and the other gallery artists.
Abstract Collage and the Creative Process

Participants will choose papers from a wide collection of hand-painted, colorful, patterned papers as well as vintage books, selecting images and text that speak to them. Then they will design an abstract collage on a 12”x12” wood panel. Catherine’s goal is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where participants can challenge themselves to respond intuitively to their art and unleash their creativity. No previous art experience is needed. Ages 16 and up. Reserve your spot.
