Who are the winners of this year's Sebastopol Community Awards?

Annual Chamber of Commerce event honors those that serve our community

This year’s Community Awards will be held at Russian River Vineyards.

The 46th Annual Community Awards are here, presented by the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce. Winners are nominated, voted on and selected by the local community.

This year’s winners include:

• Citizen of the Year - Lawrence Jaffe 

• Business of the Year - The Feed Store  

• Volunteer of the Year - Elizabeth Smith 

• Outstanding Public Service - Patrick Slayter 

• Service to Youth - Mark Grismer 

• Service to Seniors - Alan Beckstead

• Humanitarian of the Year - Patricia Deignan 

• Youth Volunteer of the Year - Angus Brent 

• Volunteer Firefighter of the Year - Joe Aiello

• Police Officer of the Year - Sgt. Charles Wong 

This year’s Community Awards will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Russian River Vineyards, 5700 Highway 116, in Forestville. Reception: 5:30-6 pm. Awards: 6-7:30 pm.
