Some background from North Bay Animal Services:
Meet Shadow, this beautiful dog has been on the run since Wednesday 11/1. We have been in contact with his owners who confirmed that Shadow is a Wolfdog.
Currently, Shadow is in a state of fear and is roaming in the open fields of Sebastopol/Santa Rosa's countryside. Our Animal Control Officers, along with his owners and Sebastopol Police Department have been trying to get him to safety.
We want to emphasize that Shadow has not shown any aggression and the owner says that he gets along well with other dogs.
If you happen to spot Shadow, please do not attempt to approach or make contact with him, as this may cause him to run further away. Instead, keep a watchful eye on him and promptly reach out to us at (707) 762-6227 or your local police department. We're coordinating efforts to help reunite Shadow with his owners and ensure his safety.
Thank you for your support, and let's work together to bring Shadow back home safely.
The Sebastopol Police knew of no updates to this situation as of 3 pm on Sunday, Nov. 5.
I hope nobody harms this animal.
