How about a few apartment buildings with efficiencies, one, two and three bedrooms? People who live in apartmnts will eat out and shop locally. How about locating business development downtown instead of on the outskirts like O’Reilly, so employees use local places to walk to for lunch? How about restaurants staying open seven days with regular hours instead of four days with flexible, non-memorable hours? Please wait til the next hotel is built before giving Mr. Aldridge the go-ahead. Isn,t his Barlow development for sale? Natalie Timm
I like the one-way streets. I think it gives the town charm. I think we should revisit the idea of a hotel after evaluating how the new one, across from the square, prospers.
I have never thought of Sebastopol as excluding anyone. I have actually never had so many strangers strike up a conversation with me.
The visitors from the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival commented on how friendly the city was last week during their stay here. How many of the Air B&B and VBRO type rentals are bringing in TOT money? There is the area to investigate for more revenue. We don’t need another hotel in town. We need affordable housing for permanent residents so there is a local workforce. Helen Baum
no way is a hotel the way to go. there are so many other options that would be better and less money and construction. I am a person that believes very much in building but in this case i feel it is a huge mistake. please think outside the box.

Where is the analysis of the costs for city services? Police, fire, etc. Not to mention the increased downtime traffic and parking. I could go on.

Becky, I agree with you about the one-way streets. Plus, they don't seem to have the congestion like the 2-way streets used to have.
The parking is a problem, especially when some spots on Main street are blocked off in front of some of the stores (restaurants?)

But I know all the one way streets. (and so does everybody else). This will add to traffic snarls and. confusion.
Developers never have ENOUGH. MORE MORE MORE.. and we, the citizens pay the price.

Two way streets is a dead end issue. Imagine all the tourist and commute through traffic on Main Street.
It will not work. All the parking would have to be taken off Main. Yikes.
