According to the Pet Poison Help Line, "Sweet Pea is toxic to dogs. When ingested, it can cause neurological & musculoskeletal signs including weakness, lethargy, tremors & seizures."
I would have guessed no, but a bit of googling found this surprising consensus: sweet peas are relatively deer resistant, though deer will eat them if other food sources are scarce.
