Thank you for this informative article on a service I did not know much about in Sebastopol and Sonoma County. The Mobile Support Team info is now in my contact list. You are such a great asset to our community. Thank you!

This is a common phenomenon and happened to my brother. A doctor played fast and loose with his prednisone prescription after a systemic poison ivy infection. He became mentally tortured and psychotic, and even considered killing himself, which happens frequently in these cases. Prednisone should rarely be prescribed and only with a very clear and detailed description of how to use it, which includes tapering almost immediately after starting. The doc who did this could be sued by this young woman.

Wow. Thank you for sharing, and thank you Mobile Support Team! I've known about its existence for some time, but never many details. I think the emergence of MSTs in the last decade-plus is truly game-changing. Glad to know your housemate is recovered.

A special shout out to this young lady who was willing to share her story! So grateful to find out more about the Mobile Support Team and their very important work in our community. I had heard of and seen In Response Mental Health Support Teams and the 988 crisis line. Curious to find out whether their services overlap with the Mobile Response Team, with the MRT more Sebastopol specific?
