You are right in that the results are not final or official.

They are the results so far.

However, if you look at vote types, https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/CA/Sonoma/115630/web.307039/#/detail/59, you will see the large number of people voted by mail-in ballot and they've been counted. Only 425 ballots in the City Council race were from in-person voting. It doesn't mean all mail-in ballots have been counted.

Thanks, Deb. I'll make the correction in the article. Apologies for the error.

I'm a little confused. The PD reported today that 100k ballots remain to be counted in the county, that current totals only reflect the 100k early voted and day-of votes. Next update not until Friday 5pm. Couldn't these results change in the next days as these ballots get counted. Sample size of one - I am assuming my ballot has not yet been processed, though it was submitted a couple days before election day to a drop box. No notification of receipt yet...

Appreciations go to the Sebastopol Times for their election coverage, including interviews and providing an opportunity for community members to share their perspectives. Additional shout-outs to all who volunteered to serve, all those engaged in the conversation and to all who exercised their right to vote.

A clarification regarding the Sebastopol Union School District election: Incumbents Deborah Drehmel and Elizabeth Smith, and newcomer, Lisa Bauman, were elected to four-year terms.

Sincerely,

Deborah Drehmel
