In a very real way, paying Jim to produce Peacetown is paying for Peacetown. There are important legal niceties - like having a payroll system - that he may have run afoul of. I don’t know, but I’m looking forward to learning more.
The Gazette article felt like a hit piece. For all he has contributed to our community Jim deserves the benefit of a doubt. It is disappointing to hear folks jump to conclusion without knowing all the facts.

I felt exactly the same way after reading the gazette piece as well. There are a lot of things that just don't fit. If he doesn't have it, then where is that money that has disappeared?!? But I agree. His statements are confusing

Note that phrase financial insouciance was mine - that’s why it’s not in quotes.
