I would hope everyone does not rush to judgement.

Agree completely. I think it’s not at all clear what really happened. I’m hoping to work with Jim to “follow the money” on his end. In a very real way, paying Jim to produce Peacetown is paying for Peacetown. There are important legal niceties - like having a payroll system - that he may have run afoul of. I don’t know, but I’m looking forward to learning more.

A lot of money has disappeared without a trace!

Indeed, Jim is a hardworking & a splendid guy.

The Gazette article felt like a hit piece. For all he has contributed to our community Jim deserves the benefit of a doubt. It is disappointing to hear folks jump to conclusion without knowing all the facts.

Boy, his own comments don't help his cause or image: he admits to a certain financial insouciance. (“I’m a musician not a bookkeeper,”. ".... but after hiring a crack criminal lawyer and talking with my bookkeeper today, I am feeling very confident…” Corbett

Note that phrase financial insouciance was mine - that’s why it’s not in quotes.

I felt exactly the same way after reading the gazette piece as well. There are a lot of things that just don't fit. If he doesn't have it, then where is that money that has disappeared?!? But I agree. His statements are confusing

Yes, please let's wait for all the facts to come in. This is so reminiscent of the trouble that brewed back in the day with Westco Soccer.
